In turn, we prepare messages
with the design in mind, essential if the final product is screen based,
interactive or instructional. Good design doesn’t simply look pretty:
it helps get the message across.
Whether it’s a simple monochrome
text or a lush full colour product, good design adds value by keeping
the reader’s interest, enhancing the readability of the text and encouraging
readers to act.
Design
planning
Our design process may start
with research into the audience’s design preferences and expectations.
Our strategic approach is to spell out the job the design is expected
to do and shape a process to suit. For example, for a specialised design
like a logo, we’ll investigate the organisation, it’s people and vision,
and catalogue usage opportunities and constraints. We’ll also advise
on logo usage rules.
Finished
art
Our designers then prepare
roughs, work through them with you and, if necessary, prepare more roughs
until you are satisfied the design is doing its job. We then engage
the photographers, illustrators and animators to create the graphics
to bring the products alive. Finally, finished art is prepared for your
approval.
Prepress
/ printing / distribution
You probably don’t want to
know about our prepress, scanning, film, print and distribution services.
We keep reliable, quality suppliers for each different category of work,
and watch them with an eagle eye. All substantial goods and services
are competitively quoted.
Thus, you get good prices,
without the pain of actually having to do anything. If this sounds appealing,
then you’ve probably tried doing it all yourself.
